Today we get to hear from Stella Prince who is one to watch when it comes to the singer songwriter genre. She has a new holiday song out just in time to put you in a festive mood. Let’s find out more about her journey so far.

SB (StarBeat): Intro Time: A quick introduction and what brought you into making music?

SP (Stella Prince): I’ve pretty much known my whole life that music was what I was meant to pursue. I like to say that music chose me! It was all I thought about and all I did from a very early age.

SB: Scene: How are you finding your place in the Nashville music scene? Is it as iconic as we all imagine?

SP: Nashville is such an incredible place because everyone wants to do the same thing as you, and the whole city is geared towards musicians. I am so lucky to have found a community there.

SB: Creation: Your music is very often defined as being authentic, what is your writing process and where do you get your inspiration from?

SP: I take inspiration from the experience of growing up. My last few single releases have really talked about what it’s like to go out on your own for the first time, and not knowing what life will hold.

SB: Holidays: You just released an original song ‘Alone For The Holidays’. Is it tough to write a Christmas song with so many beloved classics?

SP: Yes, it totally is! One of my biggest inspirations for the song though was Joni Mitchell’s “River”, because it doesn’t sound anything else like any other holiday song. Her music is phenomenal.

SB: Forward: Where do you see your music career heading in 2022 and beyond?

SP: I just want to work as hard as I can towards my dream of being a successful singer/songwriter. It’s so exciting to see my fanbase begin to grow and my catalog of songs get better over time!
